Ideas (with stop loss points) as of July 22, 2013

Below reported are long trades, with potential stops, for all stocks at some kind of new/continuing high, ranging from relatively new 20 day highs to those surpassing their 200 day highs.

Observe the continued ascent in the market, with emerging participation of sectors that were in decline and/or under heavy short interest, suggesting short covering, and a potential resolution of long liquidation in related sectors.

Below the trade reports, will be an attempt at evaluating specific tickers that may be of interest due to potential/theoretical “pivot points”, where the trade idea’s volume and prices, combined with recent 10 and 20 day averages and the 50 day average volume present interesting entry points.

In reality, risk management, trade sizing and pre-planned loss exits have greater importance for sustained trading and portfolio protection. The below is an exercise at filtering many ticker ideas down to a manageable amount for independent traders to consider, at least for this blog’s author.
